1. Who we are
The “Zappia” app (Zappia IPTV Player), a TV and video player for Android phones, tablets and TVs, and the zappia.tv website are published by G3F Digital (Quebec, Canada).

2. In short
Zappia does not require an account, shows no ads and uses no analytics or crash reporting tools. G3F Digital receives no data about you: what you enter in the app stays on your device.
3. Zappia provides no content
Zappia is a player. The app contains, sells and offers no channels, no movies, no series and no playlists. You add your sources yourself (the account provided by your service provider, a playlist link or a file), and you are solely responsible for them.
4. Data stored on your device
To work, Zappia stores the following on your device, and nowhere else:
- the connection details of your playlists: server address, username and password, or playlist link, and their options (custom guide, backup server);
- your profiles (first name, color, child profile, chosen countries), the parental code, your favorites, your recent channels, your watch history (90 days at most) and your resume points. The history is never sent online and can be cleared or turned off;
- the catalog of your playlists, the program guide, cached logos and your settings;
- your recordings, in the app’s folder, and the paused portion of a live program, in the app’s temporary storage;
- the status of your Premium purchase, so that it works offline.
You can delete a playlist, a profile, the history or a recording in the app, or erase everything by uninstalling Zappia or from Android’s settings (Apps › Zappia › Storage › Clear storage).
If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include Zappia’s data in your Google account backup, depending on your settings. G3F Digital has no access to these backups.
5. Connections made by the app
- Your sources: Zappia connects directly to your service provider’s server and to the addresses contained in your playlist (channels, guide, images, videos). These servers apply their own rules and see your IP address, like any online service. Nothing passes through G3F Digital.
- Encrypted DNS (optional setting, off by default): if you choose it, the names of the servers Zappia contacts are resolved by the service you selected (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 or the address you enter), under its own policy.
- Voice search: when you select the microphone, what you say is transcribed by your device’s speech recognition service (for example Google’s), under its own policy. Zappia only receives the text, which fills in the search field; it does not record or keep your voice.
- “Enter from another device”: while this screen is open, the device serves a small page on your local Wi-Fi network, at a secret address given by the QR code. What you send there goes directly from your phone or computer to the device, without going through the Internet or through us.
- Google Play: Premium subscriptions and purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment information; the app only asks Google Play whether Premium is active on your account. You manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
- Diagnostics: “Report a problem” prepares a text (version, device, playback settings, status of your playlists with their server name, with no username or password). It is only sent if you choose to share it, with the person of your choice.
6. Android permissions
- Internet and network state (including Wi-Fi): play videos, check the connection and show the local address for “Enter from another device”.
- Microphone (requested the first time you select the microphone): voice search. The microphone is only used while listening.
- Notifications: follow a recording in progress and receive program reminders.
- Exact alarms, device startup, keeping the device awake, foreground service and exemption from battery optimization (requested): start scheduled recordings on time, even when the device is in standby or has restarted.
Zappia does not ask for access to your contacts, your location, your camera or your personal photos and files. An .m3u file is only read if you pick it yourself in Android’s file picker.
7. Children
Zappia is intended for adults and collects no data, including about children. A parental code and child profiles let you limit what other members of the household can see.
8. This website
zappia.tv uses no cookies and no audience measurement tools, and loads no external resources (fonts, scripts and images are hosted on the site). Like any web server, the server that hosts it technically processes your IP address and the requested page in order to respond and for its security, with no other use. If you write to us, your message is kept for as long as needed to answer you.
9. Your rights
Depending on your country (Law 25 in Quebec, PIPEDA in Canada, the GDPR in the European Union, U.S. state laws…), you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection. We keep no app data on our servers: the app’s data is on your device and you remain in control of it. Payments are handled by Google, and your sources by their providers. 10. Changes
This policy may change, for example if a new feature changes the way the app uses your data; it will then be updated before the version concerned. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
